It’s Showtime fans called the attention of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board to investigate the remarks made by E.A.T host Jose Manalo to his Nigerian co-host Zombie Tugue during the Sugod Bahay segment.
In the said episode, Jose was talking with the hosts at E.A.T’s studio when he made a joke about Zombie’s skin color.
“Siguro pag napanalunan mo ‘to sa bingo ‘to, ‘yan ang tinatawag na black out,” said Jose.
Allan K, Paolo Ballesteros, and Miles Ocampo were visibly surprised by Jose’s joke.
Meanwhile, Zombie just laughed at the joke made by Jose.
Some fans of It’s Showtime said that MTRCB should also summon Jose for joking about Zombie’s skin color.
“Even Paolo B and Miles di nagustuhan yung joke e. Ano na Lala Sotto? Lol. Vice Ganda and Ion did nothing wrong. Kayo lang nagbibigay ng malice sa action,” said netizen @thesheperd.
How about a “racist” joke against this black man on national tv MTRCB? Since when did we tolerate racism? Even Paolo B and Miles di nagustuhan yung joke e. Ano na Lala Sotto? Lol. Vice Ganda and Ion did nothing wrong. Kayo lang nagbibigay ng malice sa action.

It can be recalled that MTRCB went viral on social media after they ordered the summon of Vice Ganda and Ion Perez for alleged misconduct during the Isip Bata segment of It’s Showtime.
MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto also received criticism from some netizens for her connection to Tito Sotto who’s a host of It’s Showtime competitor.
