Television host and businessman Willie Revillame went viral on social media after he reminded the people who allegedly criticized him for the help he made for them in the past.
It included columnist Cristy Fermin who quickly responded to Revillame and lectured the television host about what he said on national television against her.
It can be remembered that Fermin called Revillame ‘mayabang’ but the host misunderstood her statement and criticized her in his show.
Fermin was fuming when she responded to Revillame, saying that she was affected when the host reminded her about the things he gave to her.
On the February 8 episode of Wowowin, Revillame finally apologized to Fermin admitting that he made a mistake when he quickly reacted to the statement of the columnist without watching her show.
“Napain lang ako eh, may nagsabi sakin na ‘akala ko ba nanay mo yang si Cristy Fermin, bakit sinabi na ang yabang yabang mo daw’ so parang na-ano na ko dahil ganoon na ‘yung mga dumadating.” Revillame explained.
“Kaya ako ayokong magbabasa ng Facebook at Youtube na negative, syempre nasaktan ako don dahil parang nanay ko po ‘yan si Nanay Cristy at yun nga may nasabi akong hindi maganda dito kagabi na nasaktan ko ang pamilya niya at siya.
“Ang pagkakamali ko ay hindi ko kasi napanood yung Cristy Ferminute dahil ayoko ng manood. Ang pagkakamali ko doon ay nagdesisyon ako na magsalita, ako po ‘yung nagkamali doon.”
Revillame also confirmed that he talked privately to Fermin about the incident.
He also denied that he was telling Fermin the columnist had a debt of gratitude to him.
“Nagsigawan kami, nagmurahan kami parang mag-ina na nagtatampuhan, hanggang sa humingi ako ng tawad sa kanya at sa mga anak niya dahil nasaktan sila,” he narrated.
“Kung ano man ‘yung nasabi ko hindi naman po ‘yun pagsusumbat, galing po sa puso ‘yung pagbibigay non kaya lang syempre dumadating ‘yung point na nasasaktan ka.” he added.
“Tita Cristy, para mo na akong anak para na kitang nanay, humihingi ako ng tawad sayo, pasensya ka na dahil alam mo naman nag-iisa lang ako, ilang araw akong mag-isa sa kwarto at nag-iisip.. Hindi ako nagbabasa ng kahit ano, nag-iisip lang ako.
Fermin has yet to respond to Revillame’s apology.
