Ivana Alawi files ‘estafa’ charges against her former business partners selling collagen drink

Internet celebrity Ivana Alawi finally decided to file charges against her former business partner, a manufacturing company allegedly making collagen drinks.

According to Alawi, she paid 4.8-M pesos to 888 Paragons Golden Dragonz Manufacturing Corporation in exchange for her to become an exclusive distributor of a collagen drink that she formulated.

Alawi was assisted by the lawyers of RBTA Law and went to the City of Taguig Hall of Justice to file the charges.

The influencer claimed that the said manufacturing company vowed only to manufacture the collagen drink for Alawi. Still, two days after paying the P4.8-M, she discovered that 888 Paragons allegedly made a copied-version of her product.

“I was promised that the collagen-boosting product would be formulated according to my specifications and the distributorship of the flavored melon drink would be exclusive to me as soon as I made the downpayment,” Alawi said in the compliant.

“[888 Paragons] proceeded to release the collagen drink replicated from the product specifications that my team and I relayed to them during product development meetings,” she added.

“The company purposely misled me into believing that I would be the exclusive distributor of the melon-flavored drink, but they were already starting to create and sell a competing product.

Alawi also said that she tried to settle things privately, but the company ignored her messages.

“To date, my attempts have been in vain. The respondents have been openly flaunting the windfall they got from me and the profits they allegedly made from the copycat product, which was manufactured using ingredients of poor quality,” she said.

As of writing, the said manufacturing company has yet to give comment to Alawi’s accusations.
