Six years after Yolanda almost put Leyte in ruins, relief goods meant for the affected victims of the said calamity are still being discovered.

On January 14, 2020, the authorities were surprised after they discovered expired relief goods in a stock room in Kananga, Leyte.

Goods including canned foods, clothes, school supplies, medicines, and other necessities were discovered rotten.

Some victims of Yolanda remembered their suffering again after they saw the newly discovered relief goods meant for them.

Atty. Adelito Solibaga, municipal administrator of Kananga said that they were surprised when they discovered the relief goods.

“We didn’t expect such discovery because the room where the items were found was sealed. It’s really such a waste because a lot of people needed help after Yolanda,” he said.
