Ricky Reyes, also known as “Mother Ricky” expressed his disapproval over the SOGIE equality bill, saying that the members of the LGBTQIA+ should do another way so they’re going to be accepted and loved by the people.

In an interview, Reyes revealed that he gathered some of the LGBTQIA+ members to urge them to stop cross-dressing and just help the other people so they could be respected in the society.

He also believes that only the LGBTQIA members could understand each other.

Reyes said that the affairs of the LGBTQIA+ should not be shoved to other people.

“Dapat ang affair ng mga bakla dapat sa atin lang yan wag na nating ipagpalandakan sa tao yan,” he said.

The legendary gay icon shared his thoughts on the SOGIE bill and over the use of public restrooms for LGBT members.

He also asked why some LGBTQIA+ members wanted to enter establishments where they’re not accepted like bars.

When a reporter asked him about the current discussion of the Congress on SOGIE bill, Reyes only said:

“Let it be nalang… ang bakla ay bakla… gilingin mo man yan paglabas niyan ay baklang hamburger,”

Reyes also revealed his stance on gay marriage, saying that that wedding is only for men and women couple.

“Ang pagpapakasal ibigay natin sa babae at lalake yan,” he said.

Ricky Reyes is one of the most known LGBTQIA+ member in the Philippines as he became as one of the most successful entrepreneurs and salon owners in the country.
