Miel Pangilinan ended her silence over the longtime urban legend surrounding her.

On her social media page, Miel shared an appreciation post to her father, Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and Sharon Cuneta.

“Thank u for creating me. I’m forever thankful for the support I get from the both of you, I am who I am because of you. I love you both forever and ever,” said Miel.

However, a netizen mentioned the said urban legend, saying that she was the daughter of OPM artist Rico Blanco and Sharon’s eldest daughter, KC Concepcion.

Miel quickly responded to the netizen.

“Anak daw yan ni Rico Blanco,” the netizen said.

“Hindi daw sabi niya,” Miel responded.

The Urban Legend:

In 2021, the urban legend about Rico and KC’s relationship went viral as some netizens pointed out that some songs the artist wrote were a secret message to tell the world about his past relationship with the megastar’s eldest daughter.

They pointed out that Miel was born in 2004, suggesting she may be Rico and KC’s secret daughter.

Rico and KC reportedly had a relationship from 2003 to 2005.

“Bottomline is, Rico is the Father of Miguel known as Miel. Miel is the said to be adopted child of Sharon Cuneta – Pangilinan but the truth is, Miel was the product of Rico and KC’s (Sharon’s daughter to actor Gabby Concepcion) love,” the post reads.

“Rico loves KC so much that the song Balisong was dedicated to her. Rico and KC once confirmed that they were dating then at Bali, Indonesia. Eventually, they broke up and then came out the song called 241 (My Favorite Song). KC threw a word that she will be going to Italy for something like a vacation or a workshop but the truth is, she was hiding her pregnancy caused by the Rivermaya frontman,” it added.

However, many netizens debunked the said urban legend, saying that Miel has the features of Pangilinan.

“May mga nagpapakalat at naniniwala pa rin pala na anak siya ni Rico Blanco. Hindi pa ba halata ang Pangilinan side nya sa facial features nya. Kahawig na nga nya si Candy [Pangilinan] eh,” a netizen said.

An episode of Wanted sa Radyo hosted by Sen. Raffy Tulfo went viral on social media and received mixed reactions from the netizens.

In the episode, a mother and child complain about their patriarch and accuse him of not giving them enough allowance.

Ma. Alexandra Ortega and Liza Vergara claimed that their patriarch, Mr. Rolando Ortega, was already not sending enough allowance to them since having another family with his new and third partner.

According to them, the initial agreement was that Mr. Ortega would send P500 a day for the allowance to Alexandra; however, as time passed, the defendant was no longer fulfilling his obligations.

“Last na bigay niya noong Sabado, 200 pesos lang po. Hanggang ngayon wala na po,” said Vergara.

Meanwhile, Alexandra said that she was not mainly complaining about her father but against Mr. Ortega’s new partner, saying she always opposed her attempt to ask for allowance.

“Pag hinihingian ko na po kasi si papa, sumisingit po talaga lagi ‘yung babae niya po na parang wala na po siyang karapatan na magsalita sa akin kasi po palagi nalang pinapangunahan nung babae,” Alexandra said.

“Doon po ako nagagalit sa babae kasi po palaging nangingialam. Hindi po siya dapat mangialam kasi hindi ko naman siya ka-ano ano,” she added.

She alleged that her father’s new partner convinced him not to support her.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ortega said that in addition to the P500 daily allowance, he also shoulders all the payments for utilities.

However, the complainant insisted that their allowance decreased due to Mr. Ortega’s third family.

Mr. Ortega’s legal wife also joined the discussion, saying she no longer asked for support as she knew the defendant’s situation.

The defendant became emotional as he tried to explain his situation, saying that he was already too old and too weak to work every day.

While she wanted to receive P500 a day, Alexandra clarified that she would accept a lower amount of allowance.

“Kung hindi mo kaya ng 500, pwede naman nating babaan,” she said.

Before the show ended, Mr. Ortega expressed his love to his daughter, saying that he would never stop supporting her as he wanted her to finish her studies.

A fan of Diwata proved that he was an avid fan of the social media phenomenon after he put the face of his idol on his legs.

In a Facebook post, Diwata shared the fan who made so much effort to express his love to him.

Comedian Vice Ganda made another swipe to his critics, which some netizens believed also included veteran journalist Cristy Fermin.

During one of the episodes of It’s Showtime’s segment, “EXpecially For You,” Vice and one of the contestants talked about pure love.

“Sabi nila kapag daw first love, it’s so pure and innocent na talagang gini-give mo lahat ng pagmamahal mo. Sino nagsabi?” Vice said.

Vice then took a swipe against a certain ‘Marites.’

“Ganyan yung mga marites e. Sabi ni ano… Pero ang totoo, sa kanila galing ‘yun. Ganyan yung mga tsismosa. Kunyari ito ang comment ni chuchu chuchu, sabi ni ganyan. Pero ang totoo wala naman binabasa. Sa kanya ‘yun. Echosera,” he said.
