Netizen on Robredo’s right to criticize: “Niluklok ka ng taong bayan para maging kaisa ng gobyerno, hindi para maging kritiko”

A netizen and blogger made an open letter to Vice President Leni Robredo after the latter said that she has the right to criticize the Duterte administration.

In a Facebook post, Noel Landero Sarifa agreed that it’s Robredo’s basic right to said what she wanted against the government, but he reminded the Vice President that she’s also part of the government she’s being critical to.

Sarifa also said that the people voted for Robredo to help the government and not to criticize it.

“Yes, you do have the right to criticize the government, which you are actually a part of. But madam, if you have good intentions and delikadesa, you should work with the government,” Sarifa said.

Aside from Sarifa, GMA-7 writer Suzette Doctolero also criticized Robredo because of the same statement.

Yesterday, during an interview with GMA-7 journalist Howie Severino, Robredo said that criticizing is one of the demands of being Filipino.

May karapatan akong mag-criticize if I need to criticize, kasi ‘yun ‘yung demands ng pagiging Filipino ko. And demands sa akin as a Filipino ay maging bahagi, maging bahagi ako sa nation building,”  said Robredo.
