President Rodrigo Duterte admitted that he’s already in danger of having Stage one cancer because of Barrett’s esophagus.
During the most recent address of the President which aired on Tuesday, Duterte said that the members of his team would not pocket the money of the people because they’re also near retirement like him.
Duterte then mentioned that he was told by the doctor not to eat fatty foods anymore because it would put him in danger.
He was also asked not to drink anymore because his Barrett’s esophagus was already near to become esophageal cancer.
“Matagal na kami sa gobyerno, magpa-retire na lang, bakit pa namin pagsayangan? Kakaunting panahon na lang ang naiwan so walang — walang — walang ganang — wala nang ganang kumain. May pera ka naman, hindi ka na makakain kay sabi ng doktor huwag kang kumain ng taba kasi mamatay ka,” Duterte said.
“Ikaw Duterte, huwag ka nang uminom kasi ‘yang Barrett mo nearing stage one ka sa cancer. So hindi na rin Puro na may sakit so what do we get if we…? T*** i***** ‘yan. Wala na,” he added.
According to Mayoclinic.org, Barrett’s esophagus is a condition in which the flat pink lining of the swallowing tube that connects the mouth to the stomach (esophagus) becomes damaged by acid reflux, which causes the lining to thicken and become red.
Meanwhile, some netizens were saddened after seeing that some people are happy to hear the current condition of the President.

“Maka dyos kayo pero, Hindi kayo makatao… dito lumalabas mga tunay nyong Ugali…kawawang bansa kahit sino nlang umupo Mahal nila nung una, kinamumuhian nila sa huli…gnyan ang buhay ng tao sa mundong ito…tsktsk,” netizen Hombre San Juan remarked.
A few days ago, critics of the President suspected that Duterte flew to another country to seek medical treatment.
However, the palace and Duterte’s allies denied the accusation.
