Former Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, 90, passes away

Former Senator and Manila City Mayor Alfredo Lim passed away on August 8, one day after it was announced that he was infected by COVID-19.

The cause of the demise of the veteran politician has not yet confirmed.

Yesterday, the camp of Lim asked the people to pray for the recovery of the former Manila Mayor.

Lim was a respected public servant, serving also as a police officer, the Director of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and Secretary of Interior and Local Government.

He’s known for his tough anti-crime policies during his term as Manila Mayor and earned his nickname “Dirty Harry”.

He attempted to return as Mayor of Manila, however, he was defeated by Isko Moreno Domagoso.

Lim even wished Moreno to be a President, but he’s not sure if he was still alive when that time arrived.
