Alessandra De Rossi refuses to join rallies: “Birthday nga, ‘di ako umaattend, rally pa?”

Actress Alessandra De Rossi made an unpopular opinion on Twitter after she publicly announced her refusal to attend physical rallies.

In a series of tweets, De Rossi talked about her opinions including her refusal to join rallies to express her beliefs, citing that she’s not okay mentally and there’s still a pandemic happening in the country.

“May COVID. Maawa ka. Tsaka di ako okay (mentally) pag madaming tao. Birthday party nga, di ako umaattend, rally pa?” De Rossi said.

When asked if she could show her support to the affected workers of ABS-CBN shutdown, she clarified that if possible, she would allow the broadcasting network giant to operate.

Kaso wala akong driver. Ako na to!” she said.

She then cited her fear on COVID-19, calling it as an invisible enemy.

Wala akong planong matalo dyan,” De Rossi stated.

“I dedma best… But I guess my best wasn’t good enough! Woozy face I pray you look beyond your personal opinions. Baka iba kinatatakutan nya. Ako sure na, covid first, tapusin ko lang to at baka ito tumapos sakin,” she also said.

She then clarified that there’s nothing wrong with attending rallies, but at the same time, it’s also acceptable for the people to let the pandemic ends before going out.

Walang mali sa gusto palipasin muna to be sure. Isa lang kalaban ngayon at hindi ako yun,” she said.

She said that she would stay on social media while waiting to the end of the pandemic.

“Wala akong pagsisisihan if my only goal is to stay alive and do only what I can. Mabuhay tayo. So twitter nalang!” she remarked.

Before ending her series of tweets, De Rossi said that she would respect everyone’s action amid the pandemic.

Yung totoo?” she said.

I respect everyone who fights, I respect everyone who shuts up, for now…till may covid. And I will end it with the same statement, hindi ako takot lumaban. Peas!” she added.
