‘Influencer’ Buknoy Glamur who belittles tricycle drivers to his critics: “Kapwa mo Filipino pinipitik nyo pababa!”

Vlogger and influencer Andrew Luis Lapid popularly known as Buknoy Glamurrr on Youtube expressed sadness over the criticisms he received in the past few days.

Buknoy became infamous on social media after he belittled the tricycle drivers in one of his vlogs, saying that people should work hard to avoid being like the latter.

“Pero ang gusto ko talaga sabihin sa inyo is ‘wag na ‘wag kayo sumuko mangarap, ‘wag na ‘wag kayong sumuko na tuparin ‘yung mga pangarap niyo kasi kung hindi kayo magsusumikap sa buhay, walang-wala kayong mararating, tulad nito,” he then called the attention of a tricylce driver passing by.

He even asked the clueless driver to say “hi” to his vlog.

“‘Yan kuya, sikat ka na!” the controversial vlogger told the driver.

He received a tremendous amount of social media.

From 480,000, his followers fell down to 180,000 in just two days.

Buknoy Glamurrr’s followers before and after he belittles the triycle drivers of the country.

In his tweet, Buknoy couldn’t hide his disappointment on the reactions of the netizens.

“Nakaka down lang,kapwa mo Filipino pinipitik nyo pababa sa isang pagkakamali na hindi naman sinasadya. #itsmorefuninthephilippines,”

After receiving backlash and lost almost half of his followers, Buknoy decided to apologize to the netizens via his vlog.

“Gusto ko lang humingi ng apology, na pasensya na po sa lahat ng nagawa ko or sa mga nagawa ko. Gusto ko lang sana linawin sa inyo na hindi po ako nagsasalita against tricycle drivers. Sa mga nasaktan, na-offend, nagalit, nainis, na-badtrip, na-bwisit at siyempre na-down na tricycle drivers, wala po akong minamaliit.” he said.

“Sa video na po na ’yun, kung panonoorin niyo po yung vlog ko, malalaman at malalaman niyo po kung ano ‘yun. Pero kung paniniwalaan niyo po kung ano yung mga video na kumakalat ngayon, wala na po akong magagawa. Pero, ang katotohanan dun po is wala akong sinasabing mali na ginugusto ko.” he added.

However, netizens didn’t believe the apology of Buknoy, citing that he still put an advertisement on his video.

He also posted a photo on Twitter with a caption about forgiveness.

“One mistake should be forgiven and the person behind that mistake should be forgotten,” he stated.
