Liza Soberano to the government: Empathy ang Kailangan ng Tao, Hindi Pagbabanta!

Liza Soberano slammed the Duterte administration for allegedly instilling fear into the minds of the people of the Philippines.

Soberano is one of the celebrities who used their social media account to criticize President Rodrigo Duterte’s statement in his most recent televised address.

“What our people need now is empathy, not threats,” Soberano said.

The post of Soberano reached 144,000 likes as of writing on social media.

President Duterte, on his recent televised address, criticized the left after a group of protesters that demanded food aid and cops clashed on April 1.

Lately, authorities discovered that some protesters are members of the urban poor advocacy group KADAMAY who infamously occupied an idle housing in Pandi, Bulacan.

“Remember kayong mga left: You are not the government. Naintindihan ninyo ‘yan? Hindi kayo nasa gobyerno and you cannot be a part of what we are planning to do for the nation… Intindihin ninyo ‘yan. Kaya huwag kayong mag gawa ng kalokohan at mag-riot-riot diyan because I will order you detained at bibitawan ko kayo pagkatapos na wala na itong COVID,” Duterte said.

“Huwag ninyo akong takutin ng gulo-gulo kasi kung gusto talaga ninyo ng gulo, guguluhin natin ang bayan natin tutal wala pa namang pagkain,” he added.

“My orders are sa pulis pati military, pati mga barangay na pagka ginulo at nagkaroon ng okasyon na lumaban at ang buhay ninyo ay nalagay sa alanganin, shoot them. Naintindihan ninyo?” he also said.

Quezon City Task Force Action Officer Rannie Ludovica said that the protesters were influenced by group KADAMAY to defy the orders of the government.
