Viral security guard may face ‘usurpation of authority’ charges for pretending to be a cop

A security guard who became infamous on social media may face charges after he was caught introducing himself as a member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) during an altercation between a street vendor.

The security guard, who identified as Rex Baltisoto is now being traced by the team of journalist Raffy Tulfo and they bared that he may face administrative and usurpation of authority charges.

Tulfo contacted an official from Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (SOSIA) to handle the case of Baltisoto and let him face the proper charges for the bad actions he did.

According to Tulfo, they’re doing their best to trace Baltisoto so he could face the vendor he confronted in the viral video in the proper forum.

Tulfo then vowed that Baltisoto is not going to be a security guard anymore.

“Kung nakikinig ka Mr. Baltisoto, sibak ka na, consider yourself sibak, hindi ako hihinto hangga’t hindi ka nasisibak,” Tulfo told Baltisoto.

A few days ago, Baltisoto has gone viral on social media after a concerned citizen captured during an altercation, telling a street vendor that calling the cops is useless after he introduced himself as a member of PNP.

“Tawag ka ng pulis, pulis din ako eh,” Baltisoto told the street vendor.

The video already reached millions of views of social media.

As of writing, Baltisoto is not yet releasing a statement or appearing in public.
