A friend of Department of Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi was reportedly donating a big piece of land to the displaced family of Taal erption.
Radio host and blogger Mark Lopez shared the news on his social media account, claiming that a friend of the energy secretary is planning to give a 10,000 sqm of land in Mindoro.
As a Cabinet officer for Regional Development & Security of the MIMAROPA region, Cusi is also planning to give another 5,000 sqm of land for rebel returnees.
It’s not yet known how the lot is going to be distributed to the affected families.
However, Lopez said that people should wait for more information about the announcement of Cusi.
According to the latest data given by Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas, there are already 1,000,000 Taal volcano evacuees.
200,000 were staying in evacuation centers in different provinces while 800,000 chosen not to stay in evacuation centers and live to other places temporarily.
