“May privacy!” Netizens praise the government for setting up modular tent for evacuees

The netizens praised the government for setting up modular tents for the affected families of Taal volcano erption, saying that it would give more privacy to the victims.

Netizen Jan Faye Opena shared the photo of the evacuation center in San Pablo, Laguna where some people from Batangas asked for a temporary shelter.

According to Opena, the evacuees are not having a hard time staying in the said evacuation center because of the modular tents that giving them privacy and there’s also no shortage of food.

“Evacuation site here in san pablo laguna. Flex ko lang, ganda kasi. Kausap ko yung isa sa mga evacuees dito kanina and sabi niya mayat maya daw ang kain nila, hehe. Hindi nila problema dito ang foods. Sila po ay mga taga malvar san juan isang barangay sila,” said Opena.

Netizens couldn’t stop themselves but to praise also the action of the government.

“Thats how the DU30 govt works, nagtatrabaho lahat ng LGUs in coordination sa DSWD at tasked agencies of the govt to help,assess, monitor the flow of funds needed in affected areas ThankYou PRRD with your NoCorruptionPolicy,” netizen Teresita Curato-Dapoc said.

“D2 wala kang makikitang nagtataas ng may nakasulat ng HELP…dati s yolanda meron ,nagkalat ang tao parang tuliro lahat d alam ang gagawin…salamat s pangulong duterte s maayos at magandang pamamahala,” Marisa Dones remarked.

“Pwede naman pala ung privacy kahit nasa evacuation areas. Pwede pala basta matino at may tunay na malasakit ang mga namumuno sa pamahalaan,” netizen Jessiebelle Tima-an commented.

Modular tents are also being set up in Batangas Sports Complex and the officials said that there’s also no shortage of food there.

However, they’re asking for mats, diapers, napkins, shampoo, and other sanitary items.

Quezon City Government also sent their extra modular tents to Tanauan City Hall to help the evacuees there.

This is not the first time that the modular tents have gone viral on social media.

In 2018, thousands of netizens on social media were amazed by how Marikina City handled their evacuees by placing modular tents to their evacuation centers.

As of writing, several areas in Batangas are still not allowed to be visited and the government is expecting more evacuees as mandatory evacuation already implemented.
