A parent of a child who became a pupil of Teacher Melinda Limjuco defended the elementary instructor and praised her for her excellent teaching skills.
Limjuco is the teacher who got featured in Raffy Tulfo’s public service program for giving disciplinary action to one of her students by letting him sit out of the classroom.
Netizen Charmaine Dicang narrated on a Facebook post how Limjuco’s teaching skills became the reason why her son can now read properly.
According to Dicang, her son is having a reading problem, however, Limjuco’s effort made her son to successfully pass grade 2.
“Adviser siya ng anak ko sa Grade 2.. hindi msyado makabasa ang anak ko nung pumasok kay mrs. Limjuco, and take note nagbibigay ng special reading class si teacher after ng klase niya sa umaga kahit hndi na yun ksama sa Oras niya.. nakatapos ng Grade 2 ang anak ko na nakakabasa na dhil kay MRS. LIMJUCO..” Dicang said.
Dicang revealed that her son was saddened by what happened to her former teacher, saying that Limjuco is only strict and never hurt her students.
“Nung sinabi ko sa anak ko ung nangyare, naiyak siya.. sabi niya hndi nman nananakit si mam niya..strikto lang daw tlaga, nung Recognition, khit mababa ang grades ng anak ko.. bnigyan niya pa ng special award dhil nakakabasa na siya.. SALUTE to Mrs. Limjuco,” she said.
The post of Dicang reached 13,000 shares and 50,000 reactions on social media.
Three days ago, Limjuco almost loses her teaching license that she’s carrying for 29 years after receiving a complaint from a parent.
Even the daughter of the teacher, Kyla Limjuco criticized Tulfo, saying that the title ‘idol’ doesn’t fit the journalist anymore.
However, after receiving a tremendous amount of criticisms on social media, Raffy Tulfo apologized for his judgment over the case of the teacher urged the complainant to withdraw her plan to revoke the license of Limjuco.
Tulfo was successful in convincing the complainant and he’s planning to invite Limjuco in his show to end the issue.
