Duterte orders to deliver the garbage of Canada back: “I will set sail doon sa Canada at ibuhos ko ang basura nila doon,”

President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the government to make a way to deliver back the controversial container of trash sent by Canada to the Philippines.

Duterte wanted the garbages which delivered to the Philippines in 2013 to send back to Canada next week, ordering his cabinet members to prepare a boat or just dump it to the Canadian Embassy in Manila.

“Finance, yung basura ng Canada, I want a boat prepared. I’ll give a warning to Canada maybe next week that they better pull that thing out or I will set sail doon sa Canada at ibuhos ko ang basura nila doon.” Duterte said during the Situation Briefing on the Effects of Earthquake in Region III Provincial Capitol, San Fernando City, Pampanga April 23, 2019.

“I cannot understand why they’re making us a dump site,” he added.

The President said that he’s going to inform Canada that their garbage is coming back to their country soon.

“Prepare a grand reception, eat it if you want to,” Duterte told Canada.

He also mentioned again the controversial decision of Canada not to sell helicopters to the Philippines because of human rights concerns.

President Duterte even joked that he’s ready to declare war against Canada if they insist on their garbage to stay in the Philippines.

In 2013-2014, a total of 50 container vans containing household trash arrive in Manila and until now, despite the criticisms received by Canada, the garbages are still being kept by the Philippines.
