PNP reveals the identity of the primary suspect behind the Christine Lee Silawan slay


Philippine National Police (PNP) finally revealed the identity of the primary suspect behind the Christine Lee Silawan slay in Lapu Lapu City.

The photo of the suspect who identified as Jonas Bueno, a resident of Cebu was first published by Philippine Star on their social media page on Thursday night.

He’s only 1 of the 3 people who considered by the authorities as culprits.

Authorities didn’t mention if they already captured the suspect or still hiding.

Bueno was allegedly behind the skinning of the said grade 9 student and church server.

The reward money in exchange for the information about the suspects already reached P1.8-M.

Even President Rodrigo Duterte burst in anger after hearing what happened to Silawan, saying that he would make sure that justice will be given to the family of the victim.

Sr. Supt. Lemuel Obon, chief of the Lapu-Lapu police also ordered his men to ensure that the suspects will be captured alive.

“My instruction to my men is to get them alive as much as possible,” Obon said.

Christine’s family also prayed that the authorities find the suspect as soon as possible.

“She was a very good daughter. I couldn’t understand why someone had to do something bad to her. She was very kind, a silent type. She was my buddy, she was very obedient. She would do everything I tell her to do without complaining,” said Lourdes mother of Christine.

“It keeps flashing in my mind. All I’m asking is justice. I am really hoping that the culprits will be captured right away. My daughter didn’t deserve what happened to her,” she added.
