Former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa would be portrayed by the actor Robin Padilla in an autobiography movie titled ‘Bato’.
In the teaser uploaded by Robin Padilla and Gen. Bato itself on her Facebook, it showed the actor while having a gunfight with some people supposedly lawbreakers while carrying a child.
According to some reports, Dela Rosa is the one who chose Padilla to portray him in the movie.
Padilla who’s a known supporter of the Duterte administration, told his fans that the upcoming movie ‘Bato’ would be action-packed.
“Ito na ang hinihintay ninyong aksyon!,” said Robin of the upcoming project
Meanwhile, Dela Rosa invited his fans to watch the movie.
“Everyone is invited to watch this movie.” Dela Rosa said in his Facebook post.
The said movie has been produced by ALV Films.
It’s not yet known the exact date when the movie would be shown to the fans of Padilla and Dela Rosa.
As of writing the total views of the trailer from both Dela Rosa and Padilla already reached 140,000 views.
Some fans also expressed their excitement, praising Padilla for trying to revive Filipino action-themed movies.
“Dapat mabuhay ulit ang pilikulang filipino sa larangan ng action di ng puro kalandian at kabadingan nlng ginagawang movie. Salamat idol at may action movie na namn akong aabangan ng pinoy,” Renzo Datnilam said.
Another netizen said that Padilla is the only actor who can portray Dela Rosa in a movie.
“Idol ma pa walang galang sa mga ibang artista ng ating inang bayan.
