“Porket 8 ang plaka!” Congressman denies involvement on two FJ Cruiser road rage incident

Two footages featuring a Toyota FJ Cruiser and it has quickly gone viral on the internet and sparked outrage among the netizens several days ago.

Netizen Kim Dela Cruz posted the first video featuring the said vehicle with a plate number of ‘8’ is driving dangerously along Congressional Avenue, Quezon City.

According to Dela Cruz, the driver of the SUV was already out-of-lane and allegedly attempting to bump her vehicle.

“Una magkalinya kami. Then all of a sudden, nag-on siya ng hazard. So I assumed na magpa-park siya since nag-turn right din siya,” Dela Cruz said.

“Bigla kong napansin na pinaiiyak niya gulong niya. ‘Yun pala nag-aamok na siya sa gilid ko na para bang babanggain ako,” she added.

Several days after the video of Dela Cruz gone viral, another incident allegedly featuring the same vehicle has been posted on Facebook.

Dash Cam Diaries Philippines posted the second video, showing the owner of the allegedly same vehicle quarreling with another driver.

It was also spotted the angry owner of the FJ Cruiser stopping himself from attacking the driver of the orange vehicle. Fortunately, the other people tried to prevent him from worsening the situation.

The footage has been captured somewhere in Angeles City, Pampanga.

Netizens believed that the vehicle in the two videos is the same, citing the sticker behind the SUV.

An information has quickly spread on social media, saying that the driver of the said FJ Cruiser is the son of Pampanga 1st District Rep. Jon Lazatin, citing that the second CCTV footage happened in the bailiwick of the lawmaker.

The owner of the orange Sedan also said that the owner of the FJ Cruiser claimed that he’s the son of Rep. Lazatin.

However, he denied his involvement in the incident saying that he cannot own such plate number issued by the 16th Congress.

“Unang-una, ang komento ko po ‘no – dahil duly elected po ako – wala pa namang na-issue na plaka ang 17th Congress. So kung makikita sa video, ang ginamit na plaka ay 16th Congress, so ‘di pa po ako representante pa no’n. So makikita po no’n, walang kaugnayan po sa akin kung anumang viral video ang lumabas,” said Lazatin.

He also said that the owner of the FJ Cruiser is only a civilian who only used his name because he wanted to escape from the crimes he committed.

“Tingin ko po na-link po ito sa distrito [ko], so parang ginagamit ang isang opisyales para siguro makatakas doon sa ginawa niyang ‘di maganda sa isang kababayan po namin,” he said.

As of writing, the video already reached millions of views on social media.
