Arnold Padilla, the man who became infamous for being caught in CCTV while physically and verbally abuse traffic enforcers with his bodyguards and live-in-partner got caught by one of his police escorts doing something suspicious.
The police escort didn’t let the opportunity to escape when he saw Padilla who’s admitted in Philippine National Police (PNP) General Hospital allegedly spitting the medicine that gave to him by the doctors.
Padilla’s lawyer tried to stop the police escort from recording a video. However, the authorities insisted that the suspicious activity of the controversial businessman should be filed.
In the video, it can be seen that residue of the medicine given to Padilla was found in his clothes where he allegedly hides the tablet.
According to the authorities, Padilla might be doing the technique since he admitted at St. Luke’s Medical Center, so could stay in a hospital arrest longer.
“Nakita natin dinukot niya dun sa bibig niya ‘yung nilalagay. ‘Yun pala ‘yung technique niya, parang strategy niya hindi mag-stable ‘yung BP niya para hindi na naman siya mauuwi dito,” PCINSP. Paterno Domondon Jr. said.
The authorities decided to finally detain Padilla in Camp Bagong Diwa together with the other prisoners after 11 days of confinement on Sunday.
However, while he’s being transferred to Camp Bagong Diwa, Padilla said that he suffered from high blood pressure again and requested to be brought back to St. Lukes. However, the authorities barred him from returning into a private medical hospital.
Padilla has no choice but to receive medical attention only at Philippine National Police General Hospital.
PNP ensured that they’re going to give the right medical treatment to Padilla.
“We want to ensure that we can secure him properly and he does not enjoy the comfort of a top-notch hospital,” PNP spokesman Senior Superintendent Benigno Durana said.
“Our hospital is capable of monitoring blood pressure so that [ailment] should not be a problem. He will be committed to the PNP Custodial Center,” he added.
Meanwhile, the camp of Padilla insisted that the suspect has a health problem and he should receive medical treatment in a private hospital.
On August 24, Padilla was arrested in his house in Brgy. Magallanes, Makati City over illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
However, the lawyer of Padilla said that the pieces of evidence found by the cops were planted.
Aside from threatening people, Padilla was also accused of murdering his own sister and being involved in illegal drug trade.
