“Wow Galing!” ABS-CBN praises President Duterte in their special report

Supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte strongly believes that the Philippine media giant ABS-CBN is a critic of the administration and known for spreading negative stories about the government.

However, on Monday, it seems that ABS-CBN published positive news for the first time about the Duterte as they listed the accomplishment by the current administration in the special report titled “SONASERYE”.

In the report, TV Patrol featured several accomplishments of the Duterte government, and they started with how the current administration removed the “red-tape” which resulted in a faster transaction in different departments.

SSS is one of the Departments, which according to the news report became faster in delivering service to the masses because of the removal of the red-tape.

Duterte government imposed Republic Act 11032 also known as Ease of Doing Business Act which created to fight red tape.

The report also mentioned:

  • Republic Act 10928 also known as an act extending the validity of Philippine Passports
  • Republic Act 10930 also known as an act extending the validity period of Driver’s license
  • Republic Act 10929 also known as Free Public Internet Access Law
  • Republic Act 10932 also known as Anti Hospital Deposit Law
  • Republic Act 10969 also known as Free Irrigation Law
  • Republic Act 11037 also known as National Feeding Program
  • Republic Act 11036 also known as Mental Health Law

According to the report, President Rodrigo Duterte implemented some law which focused in helping the poor.

They also interviewed a freshman from University of the Philippines-Diliman, pointing out that the most important law passed during the Duterte administration is the Republic Act 10931 also known as Free Tertiary Education Law which gives free tuition in all State Universities and Colleges.

“Knowing that I can have that privilege na makakapag aral po ako ng libre na maabot ko po yung pangarap ko. Sobrang masaya po ako kasi po you could have that kind of education attainment without paying for anything,” Paul Cunang, incoming freshman in U.P said.

The report pointed out that President Rodrigo Duterte passed the said laws because of his political will.

They cited that the Boracay closure is one of the examples of how President Rodrigo Duterte is using his political will to fix the country.

After watching the report, several netizens expressed their doubts and questioned why ABS-CBN suddenly became positive with the Duterte administration.

Nakoh… pero okay na din.. pinakita nyo ang mga nagawa at nagagawa ni tatay Digong sa loob ng dalawang taon nya.. wag kayo mag alala.. marami pang susunod na maipapasa ang pangulo at magiging maayos ang mahal nting Pilipinas… mabuhay ka Tatay Digong .” Netizen Macoii Delaog said.

Kung ganito ba nman ang tema ng pag rereport ninyo eh di hindi kayo mapupulaan.
