Robin Padilla threw a challenging question to Senator Drilon: “Bakit pag pabor sa inyo pwede niyong labagin ang batas?

Actor Robin Padilla slammed Senator Franklin Drilon in his Facebook live on Wednesday after the latter expressed his opposition to the Federalism being pushed by the current administration.

Padilla said that while Drilon is claiming that he’s a defender of the current Philippine Constitution, the Senator allegedly violated the law by being involved in the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP).

“Bakit po kaya pag pabor sa inyo at yung lahat ng mga bagay na para sa inyo eh pwede niyong labagin ang saligang batas, yun po ang hindi ko maintindihan eh,” Padilla said.

The actor told Drilon that the senator should be ashamed by himself because the Supreme Court already declared DAP unconstitutional during the former Aquino administration.

Padilla, who’s a Muslim and advocate of the Bangsamoro Basic Law said that he’s already ashamed with the corruptions committed by some Senators.

He added that the senators should show some respect to the Muslims in Mindanao because he said that they’re the first people who lived in the said island before the colonization happened.

“Sila po yung nauna dito, wala pa po yung lahi niyo, nandoon pa sigurado tayo sa Spain, nandito na sila (Muslims)” Padilla said.

Drilon also received a history lecture from Robin Padilla, explaining how the descendants of the modern-time Filipinos came to the Philippines.

He pointed out that despite of the defeats of the Filipino Muslims against the conquerors in Luzon, Mindanao still became a free island because the Spanish had a difficult time in defeating the Moros in the South.

Padilla also reminded the netizens that Andres Bonifacio decided to start a revolution, not just to attain freedom but also to fight the oppression of the poor.

In 2014, Navotas City Representative Toby Tiangco claimed that Senator Franklin Drilon receives P1-B worth of DAP allocations for his projects in Iloilo province.

However, the Senator denied the accusations of the lawmaker, saying that it’s a “blatant lie”
