It seems that Special Assistant to President Christopher “Bong” Go has had enough with Senator Antonio Trillanes IV barrages of accusations against him and the other people who’re close to President Rodrigo Duterte.
Trillanes said that the active appearance of Go in public engagements in a sign that the most trusted man of the President is trying to market himself to the people as part of his strategy to win a Senate seat.
During an interview after his visit to cancer patients at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center in Quezon City, Go belied the accusations of Senator Antonio Trillanes that he’s lying for saying that he doesn’t want to run in the next senatorial elections.
Go Said.
Go who seems already annoyed with the accusations of Trillanes mocks the Senator and brought back how the soldier-turned-politician surrendered to the military in his coup attempts.
Anong klasengkudeta yan, huwag kang sumurender,” he said.
He even challenged Senator Antonio Trillanes into a “one-on-one” and he let Trillanes chose what kind of duel does he want.
“Kung gusto mo one-on-one na lang tayo. Basta one-on-one na lang tayo. Bahala na kahit anong one-on-one. Kahit saan, bahala ka na kung saan,” he said.
Go, explained that despite his activeness in attending public engagements and several tarpaulins of him popping out with words “Ready, Set Go!” it doesn’t mean that he’s already campaigning for the senatorial elections.
He said that his own supporters who want him to run are the people that putting the tarpaulins in different places.
Go added that “Ready, Set, Go” or any slogan with “go” in its message does not necessarily imply his name.
May naglagay ng Ready Set Go, bakit ibig sabihin — ready, set, go — Go na agad yun? Tignan mo yung pader ng Navy, may nakalagay na Go Navy. Akin ba yun? Go Negosyo, baka ipagbintang mo pa yan sa akin,” he said.
The assistant of the President suggested that Trillanes should ask his supporters to put his face in different parts of the country.
“Kanya kanyang gimik yan Senator Trillanes! One-on-one na lang tayo Senator,” he said.
He said that he would also urge his supporters to put the face of Senator Trillanes IV beside his tarpaulins so the fiercest critic of President Duterte will not get jealous.
“Huwag kang mag-alala Senator Trillanes. Inggit lang yan,” he said.
At the end of his talk with the reporters, Go challenged the critics of President Rodrigo Duterte to help the people instead of wasting their money and time to destroy the image of the current administration.
He also wanted a break in talking about politics, because he’s not really a politician like his boss.
Madaming mga kawawa dyan,” he added.
