LOOK: Leni Robredo soaks wet in rain as she leads Independence Day rites at Luneta

It seems that Vice President Leni Robredo didn’t mind the bad weather and still pursued to pay respect to the monument of Dr. Jose Rizal at Luneta on the 120th Independence Day Celebration yesterday.

The photos from the Office of the Vice President showed Robredo saluting to the statue of the Filipino hero and despite the rain, she didn’t use an umbrella during the event.

In her speech, she hoped that every Filipino people would continue and not waste what the national heroes did for the country.

She also lay a wreath at the foot of the monument to give her utter respect to Jose Rizal.

While Vice President Leni Robredo is in Luneta, President Rodrigo Duterte chose to celebrate the independence day in Kawit, Cavite.
